About Us
GXC is the parking meter with thirty minutes still on it.
A locally social online game connecting you with the people and places around you. A varsity sport for the entire campus to play. A website to bring the classic fun of a team-based game to a digital generation. Not just for meeting people and adding them to a list, but battling alongside them with a common spirit and team pride. Not just for walking through places, but becoming familiar with your surroundings and the individuals who occupy them. After all, linkages in a social network are designed for action and fun, not counting and "poking".
GXC is the lanky kid two floors above you, dressed in full roman regalia.
A sport not limited to athletes. Basic training. Lord of the Flies. Whatever you make of it. A simple yet strangely compelling casual game based on our mental associations with people, places and social affinities. Whether you're battling against your rival Ivy League school, competing against the dorm across campus, warring against Bob's cubicle across the hall at the office, or combating political opponents across the country, GoCrossCampus has your back.
GXC is that cute girl from macroeconomics lecture who always smiles when she walks by.
Making fun games that everyone can play, and anyone can lead. The sporting life meets grand strategy. The web meets the field. The board game meets the college campus. Brought to you by four Yale students and one Columbia student. Matthew O. Brimer, Brad Hargreaves, Sean Mehra, Jeff Reitman, and Isaac Silverman. We love our game and hope you do, too. ;-)
conquer your campus. win your world.
